Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis Vaccination

Yet another vaccination that any baby should receive is the DTaP vaccine. Your baby will be protected against Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis, also known as whooping cough. Diphtheria is a particularly dangerous infection as it causes a lot of deaths in children under 5 years of age who contract it. Tetanus can infect children from any puncture wound that isn’t properly handled. Pertussis causes coughing which children have a hard time dealing with. It can cause them to be unable to eat, take seizures, develop brain damage, and die.
